Care and Feeding of Rabbits.

CARE

Rabbits do not like extreme heat; the ambient temperature should be a maximum of 30 degrees and a minimum of 10 degrees.

If you are keeping your rabbit in a cage, make sure it does not spend all day sleeping there. You should let it out for at least 3-4 hours to run around.

Rabbits love to sleep a lot during the day and be active at night.

Their favorite activities are digging and chewing. It’s wise to protect your household items.

Teeth and jaws should be checked every 6 months. Regularly trim their teeth and nails.

FEEDING

Rabbits should be given plenty of hay, dried clover, greens, and commercial pellets.

Adequate water must be provided; this is a very important detail. They should drink approximately half a liter of water daily.

The biggest mistake in rabbit care is giving them too many carrots. The high sugar content in carrots can negatively affect them. The maximum amount of carrot we can give is half a carrot.

Special attention should be given to vitamin A.

No food should be given from the house. Foods given from home can cause diarrhea in rabbits, which is an undesirable situation.

The most harmless food we can offer these adorable friends from home is yogurt; this will benefit our furry friend as a natural probiotic.
